Intentional Living - 2018 Mid Year Review!

When I wrote the Get Truly Motivated post at the beginning of 2018, I was urging everyone, myself included, to focus on bringing your goals to fruition because the year would be over before we knew it. You probably thought I was crazy when I wrote that back in January, but here we are in the middle of June with the official start to the summer season just a week or so away. I'm not going to say I told you so... only that time flies by fast!  And now is as good a time as any to check-up on the progress you've made toward creating your most fabulous self and all that comes along with that pursuit.

Now, if you're anything like me (goal-oriented/passionate/a slight bit crazy), a mid-year review is right up your alley. After spending years gung-ho but also frustrated and clueless as to how to achieve the life I wanted, I'm not willing to waste even one second now that I know where to focus my attention. This chick's on a mission, and I'm passionate for you to be your best self too. However, for those that are new to Hue + Culture, this might be uncharted territory. It's all good though, this exercise is a pleasant one. Something that shakes you out of the ordinary routine of life, and helps you reorient yourself back to the things you're most passionate about achieving. To learn the lessons; whatever they might be. That's the beauty of the mid-year check. You know it's coming (because moving forward you're scheduling it) and you actually have a record of the things you wanted to accomplish.

When I wrote my original post, Get Truly Motivated, which I've linked here, it was about all of us being intentional with what we want, and what to expect along the journey. Looking back at your intentions six-months later is a powerful exercise that can teach you a whole lot about yourself and your motivations. I encourage you to revisit the things you wanted to achieve. If you're on track, well done! If not, it's never too late to start over or pick up where you left off or to revamp the plan entirely. The point is to face the moment and reshape it into what you desire. The good news is you can. So, make the second half of 2018 the best part of your year!
